If you’re up for a wholesome Macanese delicacy in the heart of Damansara, we’ve got just the right place for you.
Before all that, what is Macanese cuisine? It’s the blend of Chinese and Portuguese food with Southeast Asian traces resulting in an unique flavour we simply can’t resist. Located at Damansara Perdana, Fat Tea offers wholesome Macanese cuisine in a cozy, creatively decorated environment. During our visit, we simply could not decide on our orders. So, the friendly owners offered to surprise our lunch visit.
Results? We had a scrumptious feast! Our favourite pick would be Minchi, a delicious Macanese comfort food — with a mixture of minced pork, onions, diced potatoes, eggs, french beans and crispy lard. We’ve also had wholesome oxtail stew with meaty chunks of Australian oxtail braised in red wine to perfection and yummy pork meatballs in tomato paste. Both dishes deserve a thumbs up! Another dish that we fell in love with is the kaya toast with dark soy and duck egg! With the combination of flavours melting in our mouths, we’re definitely hoping for more.
After our satisfying savoury meal, we had Fat Tea’s cold pressed daily special. Refreshing is the right word to describe the drink after all the commotion in our tummy! Now, take a look at what Fat Tea offers below and prepare your appetite for a feast over the weekend!
