3 Fave Movies in Cinemas Out Now (February 2020)

If you’re looking to head into town this weekend and you don’t know what to do, well, you’re in luck. Head on over to the cinemas and you’ll find loads of blockbusters out now – 3 films which are my absolute faaaaaavvee!!

I’ve got to start with Dolittle. This is the latest adaptation of a story about a doctor who can talk to animals. This story has come a long way from its first book told in 1920 to now, having its biggest production yet, in the film adaptation with Robert Downey Jr. starring as the main role, and a large prominent cast alongside him such as Selena Gomez, Antonio Banderas and John Cena, to name a few.

This movie is said to be “fun and relaxing to watch with kids, with a good message about families and helping people out while laughing at silly jokes”, according to an IMDB user.

The next movie that’s definitely on my list is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Following up after Suicide Squad, this DC Extended Universe film revolves a lot more around Harley Quinn and her band of superheroines and one evil crime lord. Margot Robbie joins forces with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena ‘The Huntress’ Bertinelli, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Ewan McGregor as the evil villain, Roman Sionis.

One IMDB user mentioned that “Margot Robbie nailed it in the Harley Quinn role, while the movie portrayed dark and vibrant scenes and worthy to watch if you are a superhero-movies fan..” and goes to say, “Birds of Prey even has a better plot than Suicide Squad and Justice League combined!”

Finally, the moment I’ve been so excited about, the release of Bad Boys for Life! This franchise first began in 1995 where it stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as two detectives in the Miami Police Department, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The second franchise came out in 2003, both directed by Michael Bay. Imagine how long we’ve been waiting for this one to come out – a stunning 17 years! I wouldn’t be surprised to see its action-packed and comedic plot that stems from this movie series. Joe Pantoliano is also set to reprise his role as Captain Howard while Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton co-stars in this long-awaited third installment.

“The (bad) boys are back in town!” comments an IMDB user, adding, “25 years since Bad Boys and this 3rd outing has to be the best yet..” and “Mike and Marcus have aged like fine wine and got better with age!”

OMG! I just can’t wait to sink into the cinema this weekend, with a bucketful of popcorn and snacks! You know which movie I’m definitely going to see first, no questions asked!
