Gasping and Breathless with Szechuan Hotness

If you are into spicy cuisines, Szechuan Cuisine is something you MUST try. The tradition goes back all the way to Sichuan province in Southwestern China. Spices are used by the people there to regulate their internal temperature, as Sichuan is known to have bad and humid weather most of the time.

Szechuan cuisine is composed of seven basic flavours: sour, pungent, hot, sweet, bitter, aromatic and salty. It’s so packed with flavours that one bite will give an experience unlike any other. One of its most famous traits is that it can make your lips go numb for a while after eating!
