There’s a new Tex-Mex restaurant in town (Damansara UpTOWN to be more specific), and it goes by the name Orale!
Orale first opened up its doors to Tex-Mex fans on March, but it’s not until July that the store gains enough traction. We can’t blame them, because we’re also returning customers ourselves. The store was designed and decorated to remind you of Mexico, or at least the version of the country you have in your head after watching Narcos: Mexico.
The shop offers your favourite tex-mex meals with a choice of lamb, chicken or beef. Despite Tex-Mex food being essentially pork-based, Orale remains pork-free for its muslim fans to enjoy.
If you’re new to Tex-Mex dishes, we recommend you to try their Pulled Lamb Barbacoa Quesadilla (tortillas layered with juicy lamb) or the Shredded Pollo Rojo Taco for the chicken lovers. But if you’re used to the Mexican experience, you might want to try the Carne Asada Burrito, which is beef steak wrapped in a large tortilla with rice, cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo.
The price range is from RM10-RM20, but if you want to truly enjoy your dinner there, you might want to chip in a bit more for their Mexican sodas, Jarritos!
Orale is a Mexican slang that refers to ‘Okay’ or ‘Hell Yes’, which is also the only answer if someone asks you whether you want to enjoy Mexican food or not.
